Brent Lynch Commissions Outline
An artwork commission is a personalized and unique experience for the client and the artist. The art will is original therefore the process details will be also. Below is a guide or description of the process. Choosing a concept, developing the composition, preliminary drawings and sketches to reach a consensus will be interesting and rewarding. Good and clear communication is the impetus this process was developed.
After an initial discussion to determine the subject and direction of the commission, (subject, medium, size) a quotation will be prepared in writing (pdf - email) for the client's review and consideration based on the understanding of the project specifications.
Please note: 50 % of the quoted price will be paid in advance (invoice will be submitted) with the balance paid on completion of final artwork and client's approval.
Brent submits three variations on the theme and concept (sketches or colour studies), composition, lighting and movement to determine direction; e-mail jpeg images to the client for review.
Once the initial study is approved, Brent creates a more detailed watercolor study for further consideration - color, lighting and drama etc.
Once this second draft has been approved, the final painting begins. As the painting evolves the artist will send jpegs for possible detail changes during this final process.
Final painting approved by the client.
