Brent Lynch is a storyteller. His work is filled with iconic symbolism, metaphor and imagery. It is playful, provocative and dramatic. “Over the years, Brent’s philosophies, approach and work have been influenced by many of the great storytellers – Michelangelo, Tiepolo, Rembrandt, Shakespeare, William Blake, James Joyce, Joseph Campbell, John Singer Sargent and Dylan Thomas –
to name a few dead ones and countless artists very much alive. New work continues to be painted in the field and studio. same time and I attempt to pose this dichotomy in my work.
